Principal's Message

This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation week.  The Starbucks this morning was a welcome treat to get us boosted up and ready for the week! Tomorrow staff will enjoy a Hot Dog cookout by Lara and I to thank them for all they do. Additionally, our PTA Hospitality Committee has planned a staff luncheon for Friday and organizing the snacks shared today for our staff this week.  Thank you for partnering with our PTA to help celebrate our staff.

Our Chesterbrook staff is a unique group of dedicated staff willing to go over and beyond for our students each and every day. Our teachers and staff are what makes our school a very special place to be.  I hope you will take some time out of your week to ensure your teachers and the staff that work with your children know how much they are appreciated. A simple card or email go such a long way, especially those written from our students.

Our Fun Fair this past Friday was a huge success. Thank you for our PTA Chairs that planned a spectacular day for our community and to our parent and student volunteers that made the day possible. We truly could not do this event without the support of many, from basket donations, time and participation. Below students will find the staff raffle winners. We will also post them in the lobby for our students to see.  Staff will begin scheduling the special time to celebrate our winners. Congratulations!

This week our Chesterbrook Theatre, directed by Ms. Cody Boehm, takes the stage in Shrek Jr., The Musical.  I am looking forward to seeing our students shine. The hard work and dedication of our staff, students and parent supports go so far to support this program in our second year.

Have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,

Stacy Kirkpatrick, Principal

All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, for the Memorial Day holiday. Learn about the history of Memorial Day. See the complete school year calendar.

Principal's Message

As we wrap up the school year, our students have been completing their end of year assessments, enjoying culminating learning activities and look forward to year end traditions. Third through sixth graders have completed their SOLs with a few remaining to wrap up this coming week. Our students have worked hard and remained focus on putting forth their best work as we near the end of the year school year.

On Friday morning, our Kindergarten families enjoyed the return of our Kindergarten performance and Tea with parents. It was a joyful culminating event to watch how much our students have grown during their first year at Chesterbrook.

It has been great to see so many families supporting our end of the year festivities, grade level activities and year end events as we finish out the 2023-24 school year. Thank you for your support and collaboration this school year. As our theme states, "Together We are Better."

This coming week, on Wednesday, May 29th at 2:45, our current students will be able to congratulate our former chipmunks, as they approach their high school graduation.

Sincerely,
Stacy Kirkpatrick, Principal
